Terms of Service

The Short Version

Solid Remote Jobs is a free, curated job board operated by Kos Software, LLC. Companies post remote roles at no cost; every listing must include a real salary range; and we prepare free scouting reports on applicants. Listings are hand-approved, and we can decline or remove any listing. Scouting reports are professional research based on public information — they inform your hiring decision, they don't make it for you. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Solid Remote Jobs (“SRJ”, “we”, “us”) publishes remote software engineering job listings submitted directly by hiring companies, promotes those listings, and prepares candidate scouting reports (under our VettLab brand) for the hiring company. The service is currently free for both companies and applicants. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; anything already agreed as free stays free.

2. Company Obligations

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

• The role is real, currently open, and you are authorized to hire for it.
• The published salary range is accurate and offers within it are genuinely available.
• The listing is for direct employment or contracting — no recruiting agencies, no reposting on behalf of third parties.
• You will use applicant information and scouting reports only to evaluate candidates for the posted role, and in compliance with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws.

We hand-review every submission and may decline or remove any listing at our discretion — including when a role is filled, expires, or turns out to be inaccurate.

3. Scouting Reports

• Reports are prepared from applicant-provided materials and publicly available professional information. We verify what we can and flag what we can't, but we do not guarantee completeness or accuracy of third-party sources.
• Reports are professional research and opinion, provided for informational purposes. They are one input to your hiring process — the hiring decision, and responsibility for it, is yours.
• Reports assess professional signals only and never include or consider legally protected characteristics. You agree not to request or use reports to discriminate on any protected basis.
• Reports are not consumer reports, background checks, or credit checks, and SRJ is not a consumer reporting agency. Reports must not be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, or housing.
• Reports are confidential to the company that received them. Don't republish or share them outside your hiring team.

4. No Guarantees

We work hard to send quality applicants and honest reports, but we do not guarantee any particular number of applicants, the outcome of any hire, or that any candidate will accept an offer. The site and all reports are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kos Software, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or reliance on any listing or report — including hiring decisions, lost profits, or lost opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question (currently $0).

6. Content and IP

You retain rights to the content you submit (listings, application materials) and grant us a license to publish and use it to provide the service. The site's own content, design, and report formats belong to Kos Software, LLC.

7. Changes and Contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Questions, corrections, or listing removals: solidremotejobs@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Kos Software, LLC is registered.
