• When companies submit job postings (via email): company name, contact name, email address, job details (title, description, salary range, etc.).
• When individuals sign up for job alerts or waitlists: email address and optional preferences.
• Automatically: aggregate analytics data (pages visited, referral source, country, device type) via Vercel Analytics — cookieless, see "Cookies and Analytics" below.
• When you apply to a listing: your application materials (resume, contact info, links you share) and, for scouting reports, publicly available professional information — see "Applicant Scouting Reports" below.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (race, health, religion, etc.) and we never ask for payment details on this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• To review, approve, and publish job postings.
• To prepare applicant scouting reports and share them with the specific hiring company (see below).
• To send job alerts or updates (if you opt in).
• To improve the site and prevent abuse/spam.
• For basic analytics to understand how people use the site.

Applicant Scouting Reports

When you apply to a role listed on Solid Remote Jobs, we prepare a scouting report on your candidacy for the hiring company. These reports are prepared under our VettLab brand and work like this:

• Sources: your application materials plus publicly available professional information — for example your GitHub profile, LinkedIn profile, personal site, publications, and conference talks. Public sources only; we never access private accounts or paid databases.
• Sharing: a report is shared only with the specific company whose role you applied to. We do not sell reports about you to anyone else, and we do not maintain a public candidate database.
• Content: reports assess professional signals only (technical work, experience, communication). They never include or consider protected characteristics such as race, religion, health, age, or family status.
• Your rights: you can email us to request a copy of a report about you, correct factual errors, or ask that we not prepare one — in which case we forward your application to the company without a report.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It is cookieless and privacy-focused: it does not set tracking cookies or track you across websites, and we see only aggregate data (pages visited, referrer, country, device type). We do not use advertising pixels and we do not sell analytics data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. We only share:

• Job submission details with the public (as part of the listing).
• Applicant info and scouting reports only with the specific hiring company whose role you applied to.
• With service providers (e.g., hosting and analytics providers named above) as needed to run the site.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data (email us solidremotejobs@gmail.com).
• Opt out of any future communications.

For California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have additional rights including opt-out of “sales” (we don’t sell data) and non-discrimination.

Data Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information (secure hosting, limited access). However, no system is 100% secure—use the site accordingly.

International Users

The site is hosted in the United States. If you’re outside the US (especially EU/UK), note that your data may be transferred to and processed in the US.
